Children’s Book
Final edits
All final edits are in the works! On a side note, I have to admit, I don’t remember the LA summers being so hot…maybe it’s just me? Well at least there’s air conditioning.
Had my back surgery – now it’s time to start editing
Had the back surgery! I am totally fine, but reclining in bed for a couple days. It is the perfect time to now work diligently with Rosemary on the editing. Thank goodness I have her help in getting everything edited to perfection.
Almost time to start editing the text
I have enlisted the help of Rosemary Delderfield – my editor. She is based out of LA. Life goes on and I have a lot of life in me. Back to work and I am still in LA, staying with the kids. Planning to get that laser back surgery I put off. Here I go, always adding something exciting to my life.
Heading back to LA soon
My husband and I flew back to Medford to continue the trip, and then we will head back to Seattle in 2 weeks for the service. I am just not too into this trip anymore, so we are driving back to LA. I want to be around my kids and get back to work.
A lovely trip – yet sad news
After the wedding, we left the kids and made it through a large part of Northern California and then into Southern Oregon. Our amazing and lovely trip ended on a very sad note for me. We drove to Medford, parked the car and took a plane 4 days ago to Seattle. Yesterday my father passed away with me laying close next to him on his bed and my step mom holding his hand on his other side. Cancer is a terrible, terrible and degrading illness! I have nothing else to share today. My creative juices are a bit blunted right …
Looking forward to my LA vacation
Quick update, we are soon off to LA and then up to Big Sur for a wedding. We have secured a home in Carmel by the Sea with our 2 boys, their girlfriends and our daughter Miranda. I will work the whole time. I am planning to see my dad after the trip.
Wonderful, enriching friendships
The people that I’ve met thus far and the friendships that I’ve developed as a result of this book have just been so enriching and wonderful! Time for a break… 🙂 and a trip to LA is in the near future. I have got to work on a few points on the text now for the book. I did this a bit backwards, but what the heck. Once I met Aija, I was on a roll.
Future plans to visit Latvia
I received an email that totally brightened my day! Aija basically told me how working with me has been like no other experience that she’s had and how she loved it! Needless to say, we have plans in the future to meet each other and we’re both looking forward to it!
Illustrations are almost done
Illustrations are near completion! I can’t believe that everything has come along so well. The whole process has been so exciting, and to see my ideas finally in physical form is just such a pleasure.
