Danny will be in the NY State Reading Association event!
Exciting news for Danny the Dragon – he’s really quite popular with attendees and readers. He’ll be in the NY State Reading Association event happening March 29th – April 1st. It is wonderful to keep up with all the excitement.
Join us for the Celiac Walk!
Check out www.celiacwalk.org — 3/28/09 in Orlando, to support research for celiac disease. I’ll be out there with Danny t-shirts and all kinds of other promo. I hope all you fans out there can join us! Currently I’m still working a lot to finalize the research and text for my Gluten Free site.
Update on the Danny the Dragon Cookbook
Even more recipes to come for the Danny cookbook! I’ve been compiling more fun ideas. I still have a lot to do – the development of recipes is really an adventure. I read two books written by chefs from the Cooking Channel, and learned a lot about how to proceed in making an actual cookbook. There is a process – and I’m following it.
Danny will be at the European Book Fair
I’m getting excited about the European Book Fair in Bologna, Italy!! Danny will be making his presence felt at the Fair from March 23rd through 26th. I sure can’t wait to hear the responses to this one!

Lots more to come for Danny! I’m in the process of creating bookmarks, stickers, postcards and promo items. Planning for lots of fun for kids and all of us kids at heart. Danny the Dragon contest being developed to.
Reading to animals improves reading skills
My two puppies Bailey and Teddy graduated from their Canine Obedience class with flying colors! This is the first step to getting them to the status of “Canine Citizens,” which means they’re allowed to accompany me to schools, libraries and hospitals for book readings to children. I have an overall purpose with this: it gives me a chance to show kids how reading to their animals is a great way of improving reading abilities. It has been proven that reading aloud improves reading skills and speed.
A plush toy named Danny
Since we had such a successful debut at the Toy Fair, now I’m talking with my team about making Danny into a plush toy…the possibilities are seemingly endless! This is another idea that I’m setting aside though for the moment. For now, Rosie and I have other projects to handle.
Lots of marketing and PR for Danny
Success! Danny did well again…awesome responses! Now it is time to get my assistant to help me contact and thank all these people. We are getting things in place to start the Newsletter to keep people properly updated on Danny the Dragon’s adventures through PR and Marketing-ville.
The Toy Fair is going to be huge!
Wow – the American International Toy Fair is not to be under-estimated, this is a huge one! As much as I want to be there though, just don’t want to do it – NY is way too cold for me.
