Author Tina Turbin on Being a Mom
I am leaving Los Angeles and heading up North to Alaska and Vancouver area. What a great time in LA writing and spending time with these two men and their girlfriends www.turbinbrothers.com. They are so darn talented and with the Arts as part of their ever waking moment, it is only contagious. We truly love being around one another. They love all I am doing as an author and I was happy to share Danny the Dragon with many others while in Los Angeles. I love being a mom!
The Wonders of the Grand Canyon
I am writing daily, making notes for more ideas, sharing Danny with others and reading books all the while. I was to be in the Grand Canyon and then off to California but this East Coast Book Tour is too jam packed. So fo now I am enjoying my East Coast necessities: laptop, vitamins, gluten free snacks and some good Starbucks shaker-iced green tea. I have to ask the producer about the Danny the Dragon CD!
Danny the Dragon at Book Expo America in New York
Today is a dream come true! Danny the Dragon is in Book Expo America! For those of you who do now know, this is an amazing book Expo in New York this year. Every other year it alternates with California. It is an incredible opportunity for me as an author to have Danny the Dragon entered and available for the many attendees to see and inquire about my book. There is a representative there on behalf of Danny and some others there, and will be forwarding me the names, numbers and e-mails of all inquiries. I am disappointed I could …
Danny the Dragon and Airplanes
There is nothing better than “have job-will travel”. Yep I am off to the West Coast fairly soon BUT will be able to devote more time to my writing and developing recipes in the wonderful California kitchens. I must share the amazing times I am having on my East Coast Book Tour. This week I was honored to be able to attend a reading at St. Josephs Hospital in Tampa. These kids were absolutely beautiful and eyes wide open to hear the tales of Danny the Dragon. Walden Books was so kind to have collected 150 boxes full of donated books …
The Fun Part of Life
Dental work is no fun. Ok, I said it! Now back to the fun in my life, writing! I am oozing with ideas and so much coming off. I am not only writing but developing these recipe ideas which are amazing! Visit www.GlutenFreeHelp.info for a little peak at some of what I do besides Danny, yet he is by my side. You betcha!
Danny the Dragon Meets the Florida Library Association
We are at the Florida Library Association and things are hopping. They love Danny the Dragon and we shall be seeing more of Danny in the libraries! Yeeha. This group is incredible!
Danny the Dragon CD Update
The producer of the Danny the Dragon CD told me he is having a hard time with so much good music coming in the mail and MP3’s, so I am being asked to share my input. I get to add some input – after all it is my Danny the Dragon! At the same time I am developing recipes, writing and getting the books ready for shipping for the next Florida Library Association on the East Coast, in two days. Exciting!
Danny the Dragon Author Visits Blossom Montessori School for the Deaf
I recently visited the Blossom Montessori School for the Deaf and had a wonderful meeting with Julie Rutenberg. What an amazing woman! Despite not having children of her own, she created 1 of 2 Montessori schools in the United States that services deaf children, children from deaf parents or deaf siblings. The school is currently closed to others that don’t fit into the above demographic, however next year they will be opening to the general public. In the meantime, much needs to be done to create public awareness about the school. Stay tuned for more information on this as well as an upcoming Danny the …
