We are thrilled to announce that my children’s book Danny the Dragon Meets Jimmy has placed as one of the award-winning finalists in the “USA Book News: National Best Books Awards of 2009”! With the unprecedented amount of entries to the competition, we are so delighted that Danny rose to the top for this award.

John A. Sexson Auditorium – main performing arts venue on the campus of the Pasadena City College. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the distinguished conductor of the Pasadena City College Orchestra. On October 30th, as part of a very special “family” concert that the Orchestra will perform to an audience of 2,000, we will be releasing the Danny the Dragon DREAMS CD and the “Danny the Dragon Meets Jimmy” DVD (sign interpretation for the deaf). Author Tina Turbin’s Generous Donation to Altrusa International
I was recently provided the opportunity to contribute to the reputable organization Altrusa International, a strong volunteer group that is working to better the community worldwide. As part of Altrusa’s many local programs, I’ve donated copies of Danny the Dragon Meets Jimmy, to be gifted to the lucky “Birthday Child of the Month” of the given month, along with Danny-themed goody bags!
