I’d like to share a lovely note of congratulations (for my award nomination in the AZ Authors Association Literary Contest and as an award-winning finalist of the National Best Books Awards of 2009) from my dear friend Carol Downing, a teacher at Blossom Montessori School for the Deaf, who also provided the sign language interpretation on the Danny the Dragon Meets Jimmy DVD (based off of my children’s book of the same name). I  call her “Danny’s Hands.” This evening we will be showing the DVD on stage at the lovely concert in Pasadena Concert, while the orchestra plays the Danny Theme song ! Carol: I …

Tina and Danny Brighten Children’s Lives in Palm Harbor

I have a lovely message that I would like to share. To receive messages such as the one that follows is such a joy for me, and really does make the readings and presentations that I deliver that much more special. A mother that attended a Danny the Dragon Meets Jimmy reading at the Palm Harbor Library in Pinellas County, FL, sent in the following message: “I met you today at the Palm Harbor Library during your reading of Danny the Dragon. First off, I’d just like to tell you how much my children enjoyed the story – my older …

And an equally lovely note from his mother.  Enjoy! Dear Tina, Thank you so much for including us in your cupcake party Saturday!  It was really cute, when we got home from your place, Bodhi (my 4-yr old, who you met at Spring Valley School) was actually reading Danny the Dragon!  So Tristan picked up the …

Tina Turbin Praises Another Author

I seldom meet or speak to a man that is SO into family that he devotes his life to spreading his views, hopes and dreams as an author by helping families to improve or be happier. I got goose-bumps just speaking to this man over the phone, though I was thrilled to meet this man, and I felt like I had an instant friend. I share a bit of Matthew with you here: Growing up in a family with eight children, Matthew Toone learned at a young age the importance of family. He refers to his parents as the ultimate …
