Prolific writer, Susanne Gervay and Danny the Dragon
The Danny the Dragon series has built up quite a fan base, and I regularly receive messages to praise the work. Susanne Gervay, an award-winning short story writer, recently commented with these kind words, “Tina’s work is a delight!” Thank you Susanne!
Danny the Dragon to bring joy to kids in Victoria, Australia
Much devastation was caused by the Victoria, Australia wildfires of February 2009, including the loss of the children’s book collections at the local libraries and schools. Through the hard work of authors, writers, concerned citizens and the coordinated efforts of the Society of Children’s Book Writers & Illustrators (SCBWI), the book collections have been re-built as a result of generous book donations from around the world. (Above: Photo of Corinne King of SCBWI Australia holding some of the book donations) I am very pleased to have been able to donate a copy of Danny the Dragon Meets Jimmy to the …
How do you make reading and writing fun for kids?
I am thrilled and honored to be associated with a very fine educator, Carlynn McCormick. What she shares through her written words is spot on. Please enjoy and do give her your feedback. Please reply to me if you’d like me to share more of Carlynn! Tina Play the Writing Game! By Carlynn McCormick I know quite a number of budding authors who sweep me away with their creative ideas and imaginings-individuals filled with passion about the books they are writing. I am often surprised, however, to learn nothing or very little is actually put down on paper. Years pass, …
Tina Turbin Speaks Out – How to Get Organized
Let’s pick up where I left off about my schedule and how I get so much done. To be organized is a good thing and to have a schedule of some sort is always helpful. Sometimes SO MUCH is happening and I have so many deadlines that I think I am going around in little circles. Piles of papers, files, the computers and computer screens. I research and write about companies regarding kids and their health, gluten-free and family issues as this all also aligns with my personal goals to help improve the quality of life and health of others. …

A highly insightful show that I hope you will listen in on. Please let me know your thoughts and feedback! Visit the following link …
Author – Tina Turbin’s Schedule
Many people ask me how I get so much done, what my schedule is like and do I ever sleep. First of all, yes I do get sleep. As a children’s author, writer and researcher I am very creative and the urge I feel to create is truly unlimited, has no bounds at all. If I am tired it can slow me down a bit but not totally, to be honest. I am constantly creating new things for the moment and the future in my writing and things all around me continuously inspire me towards new ideas. I am also …

Danny the Dragon, Tampa Bay Rays and the Pinellas Park Library
The Tampa Bay Rays promotes and supports reading programs, games and activities for the kids with many Libraries. I was invited to do a Question and Answer period, read my book Danny the Dragon and do an activity time to a group of 97. This was exciting. You can bet the day was good and hot outside those doors in Florida. Inside everyone was cool, wide awake and full of excitement. I like to ensure I do readings after lunch time and even after naps for the littler ones. These kids ranged from infant to about 13. They loved Danny and …
