Danny the Dragon “Meets Jimmy” is the DVD adaptation of the award-winning first children’s picturebook in a widely beloved series. The full color images from the story about a child’s first encounter with a curious and friendly dragon are enhanced with a sign language interpretation by Carol Downing of Blossom Montessori School for the Deaf, making Danny the Dragon “Meets Jimmy” thoroughly accessible for hearing-impaired children as well. Danny the Dragon “Meets Jimmy” is a delightful, gentle, family-friendly DVD story especially recommended for public library children’s collections. 12 min.
SO happy to read this! We have the book and really want to get the DVD. It must be exciting to book reviewers, I would imagine, to have a DVD to watch for a change rather than just reviewing print material. Very cool. Waiting for more DVDs by the way! A cartoon series maybe?
Nice! Way to go, Tina!
Woo hoo! It really is a great DVD! And with all the different forms of media out there it’s a good idea to offer your material through various media because the kids love to mix it up. One day they want books, then DVDs, then computer games, then the iPad app, etc.
Hi Tina congratulations on your successes. You are the Real Deal, I’ll tell ya! Danny the Dragon Meets Jimmy is such a sweet book and extremely well-illustrated. It’s not a surprise that the critics are really impressed by this. I think it strikes a chord with everyone.
I really agree with this reviewer. You have a great product here. I mean, it would’ve been good enough just having the book read aloud because it’s such a good book, but you went above and beyond with the ASL which my kids are sooo in love with. They just sign right along and get so excited about, even though they’re not hard of hearing or have hearing disabilities.
Congrats, TIna. Keep it up, girl!
Hi Tina this is really exciting news. I think I heard about this one on Facebook, or maybe it was another award you won. Who knows…who can keep track anymore LOL?
Isn’t this like a really important book review? I’m really happy to see that your book is getting such great reviews. I can’t say I’m surprised though. I love that children’s books with good family values are still so cherished by our society.
Hooray! Our daughter Emma and son Wyatt both say congratulations to Danny!
Boy I still need to get the DVD! I meant to get it last Christmas but forgot to order them (I was going to get some for my nieces and nephews too) because I got too busy.
