I will have a live interview with the wonderful Joanie Winberg on her radio show the evening of Wednesday August 5th at 6PM. We will be covering some interesting statistics regarding kids, reading and the family. The approach in which Joanie interviews is delightful and I know you will want to listen, especially you moms. The title of her show is “Single Again, Now What?” Do not be misled as this show is for EVERYONE and the subjects we are covering are for anyone who cares about family, motherhood and our children. You do not have to listen but if you could care less about any of those topics, well I am dearly sorry for you.

Gluten-Free Cooking and Danny the Dragon

gluten-freeHere is a little sneak preview to my readers. I am about to be in a video supporting two wonderful companies. One is a well known gluten-free company and the other is a terrific non-profit gluten-free company which raises awareness about gluten free as well as research. Besides this, I get to use anyone else in the videos I want! Audition time again. We will all be wearing these delightful home- made aprons and Danny will be on the front of them too. Some say we should sell them eventually but there is also talk about many more videos so we shall see.

Danny the Dragon visits St Joseph’s Children Hospital of Tampa

To bring you up to date I need to share with you the wonderful experience I had at St Joseph’s Children Hospital of Tampa Florida along with Borders Bookstore. I arrived to an incredible group of children and some with their families by their side. These kids were “eyes wide open” as I read “Danny the Dragon Meets Jimmy”, to a variety of children sitting and lying down, whatever made them comfortable. They had an upcoming fund-raiser which I donated a piece of furniture from my furniture line (Which I am no longer selling). Borders had accumulated boxfuls of books to give out to the kids along with Danny stickers and bookmarks. If you want to have Danny come to your school, hospital or library, just let us know!

Danny the Dragon, Tampa Bay Rays and the Pinellas Park Library

The Tampa Bay Rays promotes and supports reading programs, games and activities for the kids with many Libraries. I was invited to do a Question and Answer period, read my book Danny the Dragon and do an activity time to a group of 97.

This was exciting. You can bet the day was good and hot outside those doors in Florida.

Inside everyone was cool, wide awake and full of excitement. I like to ensure I do readings after lunch time and even after naps for the littler ones. These kids ranged from infant to about 13. They loved Danny and of course they loved the gifts Danny offered. I arranged an activity time in which the kids all drew two characters, one would be a proposed friend for Danny the other a proposed friend for Skipper. The results of my two winners will be in the Danny the Dragon Newsletter as well as on this site. Webmaster has to get ready to arrange that. I sure keep him busy.

Danny the Dragon Travels Back to Florida

Heaven! Is this Heaven? Oh, it’s just home! Why is it that many of us long to travel, we then go there and then we get home to Florida we never want to head out again for quite some time. I LOVE my home, my schedule and of course my studio. I really live in my studio and seem to enter my home for food, sleep and of course a hug to my husband. Anyway, I am back and lots happening as you can read and view on the Internet about Danny the Dragon, Tina Turbin as well as my Gluten Free site www.glutenfreehelp.info . Exciting stuff. Happy to be back with our daughter, Miranda. It is hot as “#%$” in Florida! The CD is really moving now and I have got some wonderful news to share , so check back!

Danny the Dragon Goes to Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone, wow! I have to admit this is a place everyone NEEDS to visit. It is huge and I could have stayed much longer but we need to get back home and on the way to the Dakotas. Mt. Rushmore here we come. Danny the Dragon is by my side and in my thoughts and lots is being written on the computer and in my notes, While I am traveling I am in touch with many people about more adventures of Danny. The compilation Danny the Dragon CD is underway and now we are working on hiring that lucky lady for the VOICE OVER. Many say I should do it since I read so often to all these kids and am animated. Well, I do not know about this idea. Whatcha think?
